Congratulations to all the 2011 Rising Stars Awards Winners!

Western Australia's Top 10 Rising Stars for 2011 were announced at the 2011 Awards Ceremony on Wednesday, 15 June 2011.

The quality of entrants of the 2011 awards was diverse, with winners coming from industries such as health, finance, recruitment, food, oil, gas and mining.

The number one 2011 Rising Star was awarded to Velocious Pty Ltd. Managing Director Brett Silich was humbled by the announcement as he reflected on the company’s growth since its inception in 2008.

All participants this year had the opportunity to take part in the Starlight Children’s Foundation Award. This award is presented to a company who used their entrepreneurial, innovative and creative culture to help raise money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. This year’s award went to Marble Group, who under took a team based fundraising activity they called the “Hunger For Help.” This involved everyone across the business committing to a 24 hour fast! WA Business News congratulates all the companies who raised money for the Starlight Children’s Foundation.

Master of Ceremonies Tony McManus did an incredible job throughout the night and kept everyone eagerly awaiting the announcement of the winners. This 2011 Awards Ceremony was held in the WA Museum with entertainment provided by the talented Proof Trio.

From 6:30pm guests enjoyed fine wine, beer and food as they mingled and were inspired by the companies awarded.

It truly was a celebration of all that the WA business communities have to offer.
